Committee of Management

Our kinder is managed by a dedicated group of parents who volunteer their time and expertise to oversee all aspects involved in running a successful and vibrant kinder. This includes tasks such as:

  • setting fees, financial management and budgeting

  • organising fundraising and social events for the kinder community

  • communicating with families via emails, newsletters and online platforms

  • maintaining the grounds and facilities (including working bees

  • applying for grants and community benefits.

It is very important to note that all the educational programming for the children is undertaken by the educators. We welcome all parents who are interested in taking on a role with the Committee.

Working Bees

Our kinder community comes together quarterly for a working bee to help keep the grounds in great condition. Working bees are scheduled on weekends for a few hours, and we ask all kinder families to attend at least one each year – many hands make light work! These are quite social events and the kids have a great time running around with their friends while their parents do a few light jobs!

I cannot recommend Cara Armstrong Kinder highly enough, it’s a very special place. Every day the educators set up such fantastic activities for the kids where they can learn about the world through play and having fun. My son had such a great experience there the last two years, and now my daughter who attends is thriving and really coming out of her shell. The educators are so nurturing and
attentive, and are really skilled at preparing the kids for school. Being a part of a community run kinder with lots of family involvement has allowed us to make lots of wonderful friends and we just love being a part of the kinder community!
